Woom is an art and design gallery and event space in central Nelson, conceived as a venue in which to present a mixture of artwork and ideas ranging through sculpture, 2D art, installation and video/multimedia/sound /performance. Contemporary and accessible, woom will house collaborative art events of a kind seldom seen in Nelson.

Shows and events will promote the work of selected artists from all over the country and abroad alongside local talent, with an emphasis on new and emerging artists. Woom aims to encourage professional development by providing artists an opportunity to exhibit, promote and discuss their work in a space where experimental, non-commercial work is encouraged; and to simply have some fun.
