Woom~Four codec:

We were proud to present woom~4: Codec - an exhibition of national and international video art including work by recent NMIT graduates and current faculty members back in May 2007. Big thanks to Kate Walker who initiated this show and has co-curated and led the organisational side of things. Also thanks to Creative Communities Nelson City who have given us a wee bit of money towards it. As usual, the bulk of the cost of woom events is sponsored by Seven Design Secrets and Andy Clover Graphic Design.

Artists:
Artists who contributed work to woom~four are: Lou-Darcie Lewis, David James, Kate Walker (Nelson); Naomi Lamb, Rebecca Pilcher (Wellington); Peter O'Donnell (Christchurch); Jennifer Beth Guerin and Lora Alaniz (Austin, Texas), and Jenny Rodgers (New York). We were also very privileged to welcome to woom the collective talents of 'Plugged' - an Arizona, USA, based women’s video group who stage an annual international video art festival. This year they sent one hour of the best of Festival 2007 to be screened in the antipodes, one week after their Tucson showing. Work from artists representing 17 countries was shown.
