I look at my toolbox and realise I could create a theatre. My most important tools have got to be my eyes and my wits. I
don’t find myself concerned to specialise in a particular material, I
am drawn to working with whatever material serves my aesthetic
intention.
In seeing materials as potential motifs and the
potential for technique as motif-generating. The combining of motif,
material and technique, in my work, is a process of balancing competing
visual elements.
